OVERVIEW OF SUMMER SCHEDULE:
What is a Weekly Project Class?
We have a new theme each week and work to develop skills in a variety of mediums. In the beginning of the class, we focus on directed drawing, and with those skills we move to a final project.
What is an Open Studio Class?
Our Standard Class with a new name! It is set up as a series of individual project briefs and the timing is based on the student’s pace. Each project is designed to build new skills in all fine art 2D mediums and/or digital art. We explore a variety of artistic realms, including still life, animals, people, landscapes, and abstract concepts based on the student’s interests. Everyone in the class is working on their own project.
What is a Technique Class?
Taught by Megan Walsh (and Miss Kim will pop in), similar to our Open Studio Class with the option to follow her instruction on advanced skills in drawing and painting.

CREATE & CRAFT TODDLER PROGRAM
Will officially launch over February Break— All aboard! This summer we are traveling the United States via sailboat, come join us! Every class is inspired by the location we travel to with a featured artist. Each student will be provided a Heart Studio voyage ticket and receive a hole-punch every week they attend.
It is class passes so feel free to come for the entire venture or just one class.
SUMMER WORKSHOPS ENROLL HERE:
Heart Studio is on a mission to lend student’s the confidence, skills and tools to create. Pablo Picasso said it best: “Art washes away from the soul, the dust of everyday life.”
Come join us for a Mini-Page Comic Book Workshop. In this workshop, we expose students to the art of comic book illustration. We will first learn how to design a character, and with that character we will outline a story. Students will then explore how to storyboard scenes and turn them into comic pages. This is how UX designers map out solutions, and this experience teaches them valuable skills in iteration and design. In the end, the student will have a fully original mini-comic book, written and illustrated by them.
